OK. I’m ready to talk again. I will be in Charlotte, NC, talking to high school students and attendees of the International Study Abroad Fair on Friday, Feb. 19th and Saturday, Feb. 20th. If you happen to be in the area and free, I’ll be giving the Welcome Address around six Friday night. E-mail : Jhishmeh@csiet.org for details and permission to attend.

I will be at Scripps College in CA from the 24th until the 26th. I’ll provide details when I have them.

Dear Rita,
“Tales of a Female Nomad” is a real catalyst for me. I have not quite finished the book, and I am already thinking of ways to redesigning my own life.

I will write more later– for now, many thanks for the book.
Sincerely,
Michele Maria Surat ( teacher/ poet/ author of “Angel Child, Dragon Child”)

Michele, Hi

I’m honored to be a catalyst. This nomad thing is a great way to go! As you know, my nomadding is on hold for a while, but when Let’s Get Global is up and running….and I have the funding to hire a coordinator….I’m taking off again. The joy of connecting is addictive.

Good luck and happy journey. Rita

Hello Rita Gelman,
I recently found your book at Mesker Maps in Seattle. Although I live in a small town near Portsmouth , N.H.,I travel to Seattle to visit my son,his wife ,and my 2 tiny grandsons.
Your book made my heart happy! It reminded me that I have a wish to connect beyond my own safety net.
thanks Rita
